I do agree that it is somewhat loud simply due to the amount of air that it moves, more air moved equals more water pulled out and boy does it ever pull it out. Some of the reviews said the “new” design of the water bucket was worse because there was a “snap” to release the bucket, and that caused water to spill. While there is a snap, the bucket has a clear plastic shield over most of the top of the bucket, so I have had no problem getting the full water bucket out without spills and carrying it downstairs to empty. The fans might be a little loud, but the dehumidifier is upstairs and the noise is not a concern to me. I am very happy with my purchase.”
